We believe in the power of flowers. Not just to beautify a space, but to genuinely brighten someone's day.
Join us on a Saturday morning for this special workshop, where we'll rework event flowers from a private fundraiser into smaller arrangements to be delivered to a local assisted living facility. We'll open with a brief floral design lesson, then spend the rest of the time creating beautiful, thoughtful pieces together. No floral experience is necessary; just bring your love for community and creativity. Ages 16 and over, please.
The workshop will be led by Lynn, a long-time florist and owner of Pollen Floral Design and now owner of Rooted Living. Known for her whimsical, garden-style arrangements, Lynn is a pioneer of eco-friendly floral design in Chicago, founder of ReBloom Chicago (the flower donation program of Pollen), and co-founder of the Chicago Green Wedding Alliance, now called the Sustainable Events Collective. And if the weather cooperates, we just might work outside!
Want to do even more? Be a Donation Delivery Coordinator and arrange the flower donation delivery with an assisted living facility. Other interested participants can help with the delivery after the workshop as well.
Registration: $25 · Your registration fee comes back to you as a $25 store credit to use the same day. Prefer to pay it forward? You're welcome to donate it toward the cost of the workshop instead. Registration is required to hold your spot; space is limited.
This is a lovely way to start your weekend, give back, and learn a bit about floral design in the process.

No refunds are available for workshop registration.
If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your ticket to a friend. To do this, please email info@rootedchicago.com with the subject line “Ticket Transfer: [Name of Workshop]” using the same email address that was provided at registration. Include the full name & email address of the person who you would like to transfer your ticket to. We’ll take it from there!
If you provide 7 days' notice and we are able to fill your spot, we may be able to issue a credit toward a future workshop.
In the event a class is cancelled or rescheduled due to inclement weather, increases in local Covid cases, changes to local Covid guidance, positive Covid cases on our staff, or other Act of God, you will receive a credit to take another class at a later date (in-person or virtual).
