Have you ever dreamed of collecting fresh eggs from your own backyard? Or maybe you’ve been curious about the charming world of urban chicken keeping? If so, this workshop is for you!
Our beloved shop chicken, Magnolia, has sparked countless questions, so we’re dedicating a class to all things chickens! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the basics of raising backyard hens, including care essentials, coop setup, and city-friendly tips for happy, healthy chickens.
We'll take a tour of the chicken coop behind Rooted Living, where you’ll meet our flock—Magnolia, Daphne, and Cha Cha—while discussing practical considerations like feeding, space requirements, predator protection, and egg production. Whether you're a beginner or just curious, you'll leave with the knowledge and confidence to start (or improve) your own backyard flock.
Come ready to learn, ask questions, and enjoy some time with our feathered friends!
Why do we have multiple pricing options?
Community workshops are for you, our community! We offer a limited number of tickets for most workshops at a reduced rate. Please choose the price that best honors where you’re at. If you are able to pay at the suggested level or higher, it helps keep our workshops on a sliding scale for those who can contribute at a different scale.
