Drop-In DIY Repotting & Drop-In Mini Moss Terrarium Making, Friday 1-6pm.
Hi friends. It's been a rough week. I'd like for Rooted Living to support your well-being right now, so we're offering a 10% discount off of all plants for the rest of the week. On Friday, we'll have open hours in our workshop area for repotting or mini moss terrarium making for a little horticultural therapy. These will be free events open to all. And if a little chicken therapy would help, ask to see Cha Cha.
Friday only: Open Workshop Hours for DIY Repotting
Get your hand dirty and take care of the plant that has been busting out of its pot.
This Friday only, 1pm-6pm. Bring in a houseplant that needs to be repotted and a pot no larger than 1-2 inches larger in diameter than its current pot for DIY repotting in our workshop area.
I'll guide you (as much as I can while also tending to shop duties) and provide the appropriate potting mix for your plant. Repotting of plants going into pots that are 8" and under in diameter will be free this Friday only. You bring the plant and the pot, we provide the rest.
Plants going into pots larger than 8" in diameter and complicated repots can be brought in for a fee.
Limit of 1 plant per person. Okay, 2 or 3 if they're small (like shown above).
Friday only: Open Workshop Hours for DIY Mini Moss Terrariums
Friday only. 1pm-6pm. Bring in a small glass container and I'll guide you through making a mini moss terrarium. I'll have just a few containers available, because I just didn't have time to source any, so bring a small jar or bottle if you can! I'll provide everything else you need.
Want to make yours truly unique? Find moss in the wild, in your yard or in a neglected area, and scoop it up a little bit to put in your terrarium! It's always fun to see what hidden seeds will germinate with wild moss.
Chicken Therapy Available
Cha Cha has been known to make appearances at the shop on Friday afternoons. Petting a chicken is surprisingly therapeutic. If you don't see her in the shop, ask and I 'll grab her if she's available!
Fact: Houseplants improve your mental health.
Caring for plants offers a sense of calm, purpose, and connection to nature. The act of tending to a plant, whether it's watering, pruning, or admiring a new leaf, is incredibly grounding. Your houseplants quietly support your mental well-being, offering peace, purpose, and the comfort of knowing that growth, no matter how slow, is always possible.
