The Krimson Queen is similar to Hoya carnosa Krimson Princess, and they make a lovely pair. The main difference: The Queen has white on the borders of her leaves instead of the centers and some leaves my be completely white with a subtle pink tinge. 

Hoyas are easy to care for. Slow growing, but will have trailing vines, perfect for spilling over your shelf. Bright, indirect light preferred. A wee bit of direct light is okay, and will encourage flowering. 

Hoyas are not known to be toxic to pets, but like with any plants, it’s best to keep them out of reach of munchy pets because the leaves might upset their stomachs if ingested.
